vectra 2.2 sri saloon.. rear end dropping when going over uneven road??

Hi all,. been a while since last pot.

ive got a problem with my 2.2sri saloon, basically the back end feels very loose and when going over un even road ect the back end will drop and bad knocking noises.. feels like it dropping then hitting something??

Ive had the rear arbs bushes changed.

also had a garage look over the rear end and said cant see anything..

its becoming annoying now never ever had this before..

any ideas of that it could be???

ours did this knocking noise for years
turned out to be a outer bush

outer bush??? which ones evocarlos??

it was at the rear of the arm and the lower outer one was only like £6 for the bush
#21 in this pic but the one at the bottom 🙂

do you have a part number??

i got it at gm # 90496700
i would still get the bush checked before spending any money just incase
ours passed 5 mots with the clunking before it was picked up and failed on it

Vectra b is also very prone to bush No 20 on above diagram failing causing knocking from the rear. jack the car up with no weight on the rear axle and check all the bushes. chances are they are all soft or worn through age by now. 🙁
