views on stop smoke and stop leak

Haven't been on here for ages, the only thing iv had to replace was the reverse light switch which started playing up.

so just a quick question to see what peoples views are on the 2 products Wynn's Stop Smoke Oil Treatment and Wynn's Engine Stop Leak 325ml

the problem I have is on the mondeo tdci 2ltr there is a slight leak inside the engine causing oil to burn for the 1st few mins when starting from overnight, And smokes on heavy acceleration. I don't fancy stripping it all down for a tiny leak so was comparing products. + its 11years old soon with 134000 on the clock so not worth all the hassle that it could cause opening her up. Id rather try one of these or something alike or live with it.
as its a leak stop leak would be the 1st one to go for however stop smoke benefit *Seals the gaps between worn engine components. which should solve my problem?

Has anybody used these products and are they any good? or is there anything people hae used that worked for them?

A friend of mine used stop smoke on a car he was selling which smoked on deceleration and it worked well after about 30 miles, sold the car job done.

However it is a short term fix for a long term problem

I went for stop smoke in the mondeo and I also got stop leak for a very slight leak on a saab so im testing both products myself 🙂 I think for what I want in the mondeo stop smoke is the better stuff. time shall tell now 🙂

As you know it's only a short term fix but my mate reckons many taxi drivers use oil additives to very high mileage dervs and they get good results from it.

Short term fix but easier than pulling old girl to bits and possibly creating new problems. That's what im hoping that it will ease the problem.

its going to be a while before I post any feed back as the new oil filter seal decided to fail and we lost appox 4.5/5 ltrs of oil. it has been fine so took it for a longer run today where it suddenly sounded awful quick look around and the bottom off the car was dripping. All because the seal supplied with the filter failed. luckily that car takes 6 ltrs and we caught it just doesn't sound like there's any problems anyway.
