Im not slagging it just interested. I only have a stage 1 pulley which is larger than standard and only puts out 8psi of boost where as they run smaller pulleys and more boost. I also didn't fit the high lift cams as their mapped to on the vectra b Ecu and I want to sell them together so the buyer gets a plug and play Ecu without needed a re map (y)
dewismotorsport Cheers Dave, was chatting to Ratty about your car, he's wanting to build a Corsa c with S1600 kit and 2.2 with harrop on.
dewismotorsport Got myself another cooling module, loom and GM CTS to try and cure my fan issue. Also bought some Han's device posts for my helmet and a big thanks to @[deleted] for the black one piece facia to replace my silver one (y) Also got myself a supercharger rebuild kit, just need to find some needle bearings in the UK as ZZP in USA have very steep postage costs
evocarlos you won't find the needle bearings in the uk that are open back i checked but for 3 days waiting you can just get them from zzp 🙂
dewismotorsport Ah minge 🙁 I nearly bought some the other day until the check out easily doubled my order with postage so I'll wait until I need more bits off them before I order them (y)
corsaZ22se he was asking me about mine last time I was up there, he had been thinking about doing a 2.2 corsa c for a while only every one who tried had failed till I did the first one, then supercharged it. hope to be going back up there in a few weeks as im almost there with rebuild now. 🙂 postage from usa is a bit steep if you are only have a few small items. I could do with a few bits but will need more for the next 2.2 soon so waiting.
evocarlos £48 thats £30 cheaper than the guy who tries to repair superchargers on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Eaton-M45-M112-Supercharger-Case-Rotor-Bearings-GM-Buick-Miata-Saleen-Mustang-/170826537942
dewismotorsport I'm not in a rush to rebuild it so will just wait to buy them as I'll want more bits off them. Only bought the kit now as if like to change the coupler on it as its unknown mileage and they tend to wear out first.
dewismotorsport Been doing some improvement mods, first up was the oil cap breather mod, they have a built in breather but I drilled it out to 13mm on bottom and 8mm on back, can blow though it a lot easier than standard Then got rid of the crap silicone pipe for the brake vacuum, silicone can collapse under vacuum so modified the standard Astra one And modified the vectra c intake pipe, had to make a few cuts and holes as bonnet catches hit it and tank vent valve now has to run through it and back to throttle bodie, quick blast with the airline and it works well and doesn't really blow out of the holes due to the flow nature of the pipe which is a bonus
dewismotorsport More work done getting it ready for its trackday at bedford on Saturday, removed the tow bar and electrics as I haven't towed anything in years, 28kgs in total so a good weight saving. I then got round to making a new spring retainer as the last one had some how rusted out just on the drivers side I then fitted the 270lb 2 1/4"id coilover springs onto the beam as I wanted a stiffer rear spring set up. Also fitted the white line rarb. After a test drive car felt much more connected with noticeably less body roll. I also topped up gearbox fluid, fitted the new CTS and cooling module but they haven't cured my cooling fan staying on issue so the search continues for answers to that, I will try the loom at some point but feel it may be something loom back to car?!
dewismotorsport Final bit of track prep today, stripped all the crap out the inside Final bit of weight saving Fitted the wet wheels and tracked it up, I've set it at 0.5mm toe out and -3 degrees camber
Dave_Gilbert If I was you I would do away with the leather seats, 2 much weight, id get a pair of bucket seats n do away with the leather. on another note I need a set of seats for my mini, im not fussed what they are as long as there leather and have blue alcantara in the middle. Do you know any going begging?? 🙂
dewismotorsport 5M1THY said: Loving the colour coded baby bucket seat 🙂 😃 Had it about 10 years so by pure accident it matches the Astra Dave Gilbert said: If I was you I would do away with the leather seats, 2 much weight, id get a pair of bucket seats n do away with the leather. on another note I need a set of seats for my mini, im not fussed what they are as long as there leather and have blue alcantara in the middle. Dave_Gilbert They look nice and safe for the track, id get them in asap n chuck the rest in a skip n then tell me where the skip is.
dewismotorsport They live in my Corsa track car at the moment but will eventually find their way into the Astra as luckily there colour coded too  Good luck getting into my camp to get to the skip Dave :sneaky::ninja:
