I'm David, my bro has just got a new(ish) 2.2 Bertone Coupe
"We" got it after the poor Vauxhall was "traded in" with cash for my little 1.4 Fiesta!
This Bertone will never be a minter, but we're planning to do a "wheeler dealers" on it and get it sorted.
It has what I understand to a common problem, smoky on acceleration.
I understand it's often the oil breather system or the Valve stem seals.
What's odd Is I found a receipt for a head gasket only back in December 2013!
I've removed the front air pipe and is indeed filthy with oil, throttle body is gunked in oil and even some oil on the exhaust manifold heat shield!
