Hi There,
Be through it all with the car this week had it in garage to take of (i could nto manage that last bolt) they took of and "cleaned" was sweeet as a nut for 4 days then started again....So I was going to buy this blanking plate and cheater. says there are no blank plates availabl,.

Can anybody confirm this for me? and how long for delivery any chance of paying for next day?

i know they do the cheater but im not sure if they do a blanking plate

Awesome, I will order that today or tomorrow. In the mean time, laugh as you will, I am going to make a temp Blank Plate out of A Can....yeah....so I will make two copies of the blank plate and double it up and bolt it down hope that lasts 2/3 days while I get a new one on the way.....

id say it will last a few days.
if u put 1 bolt throught the egr valve n bolt it down out of the engine if u know what i mean,
n leave it plugged in it should drive better and not chuck any eml lights up( i think)

that way only works if the valve is not faulty 🙂

I've not had chance to get any more blanking plates from VX. Really need to get some back in stock though.

That's unfortunate, as I see you live in sheffield, and I am only 20 mins away.

I am going to see about buying one for next day delivery if anybody can throw some ideas in?

Update, Just bought the Blanking Palte, will this do alone for the short term? I would buy the cheater but I need it by Friday and wont be long enough...

i think bristol street motors(vauxhall) do a blanking plate

where abouts are you if your 20 mins from sheff? i could find out if my local B.S.M has 1 im 20mins from matt in chesterfield

i think it will run fine but u will get a eml on the dash.

Bradwell? I've just got my blanking plate and fitted in 6 mins easy job, and left my Valve hanging to the side bolted just so the valve can still move about.

Hi Dave -
Sorry lack of reply....It does run a lot better, and as of yet I have not bought the cheater...not sure if that is an issue or not yet.
