Reccomend me a new exhaust - Astra Coupe

Hi all,

After the fiasco with FK Automotive sending me the wrong exhaust and refusing a refund or replacement, i'm now in need on a new cat back system in advance of it's impending MOT . Need to purchase asap so I was wondering if anyone can advise me?

I've seen this on ebay :

Seem like a good price for what looks like an OEM system... but ideally i'd like something that sounds a little throatier than a standard. Budget is, well, kinda non existent, so let me know your thoughts please.

not a bad price for a standard system, any performance exhaust will be expensive, you could fit a z20let astra exhaust - but might need the connection tweaking to fit the z22se downpipe

thanks for the response, I've seen them... unfortunately their not OEM, something that's worth an extra tenner to me!

the oem ones suck ass my back box failed after 2 years from new 🙂

FairPlay but yeah carls right my exhaust and cat were replaced 3 years ago and cat back it's rattling and generally quite rotten orthough I have no idea if that Hofmann one will be much better as it's mild steel anyway

Thanks for the response people! I went for the OEM on e in the end as mine has only just given up the ghost after 11 years, cant complain with that.

Next question I have is; what on earth am I going to do with the dual exit SS system I have brought from FK? I've been advised it's for a MK3 but I cant see there being much call on the second hand market. Suppose I could upgrade the guttering....

if it is for a mk3 n its the right model mk3 you should be able to sell it

theres still mk1/2 astras on ebay(ok not many) but still there

is it brand new n never fitted?

I'd say it's worth putting it on ebay or gumtree as there's still a big scene for mk3 Astras I find a good way to find or sell parts is search for Facebook pages ie mk3 Astra owners page etc as I've found some deals on enthusiast Facebook pages
