the colored links really don't mean anything unless you have just fitted the chain and aligning all the marks, once the engine is tuned then don't meet up in the right place for a few thousand spins
yeah the center of the sprocket and the bearing cap look dry for me that would be worth investigating to make sure theres no damage to the bearing cap surface alloy gets nasty with no lube and heat
it could just be from the solvent you used but if it was there before i would still check it out 🙂
