vectra 100 edition turbo

just found a 100 edition on a 53 plate with 72000 miles on the clock (very local to me)

it has a stainless twin exhaust from turbo back, the half leather and blue interior, vxr rear spoiler and rear splitter and irmsher grill n front splitter.

apparently remapped to 225bhp

asking price of £1300

does this sound good or is it me??

i wish i had the cash for it, its cheaper to insure than my vectra aswell, i dont get it

im so tempted, but i love my vectra.

oh thats good int it from 175bhp to 236bhp just on a map

so a few other trick bits could take it to about 250? dunt a good size inter cooler give around 15?

Yea, its not bad... Larger intercooler will certainly get it a bit more.

Its already got an exhaust so thats a bit more freeflowing already.

You'd be pushing it to get more than the quoted 225 bhp on the 100 ed. At that age it has the smaller Garret turbo not the larger facelift 2.0T Mitsubishi one. What make's it a 100 edition is the seats, wheels and rear irmscher spoiler, although the VXR spoiler is nicer i'd have kept the original one on imo. The intercooler is the same as the 2.8 VXR as there all the same across the board. Be aware this is a Z20NET not the Z20LET.

z20net is a decent engine just not as mappable as the turbo is the restriction

is it not on the Saabs they change the turbo to increase BHP ?

i thought all vectra 2.0 turbo were the LET
i dint know about different turbos either
is that why some are saying 170bhp and others saying 175bhp?

No mate all vectra c 2.0t's are the z20net same block as our z22se's and z22yh's. The stock output is 175 bhp be it the facelift or the prefacelift. Its just the facelift has a bit more potential with the bigger turbo. You can swap them and I think you only need different oil lines, but don't quote me on that. Most say its the most reliable engine in the Vec c, but then again its not the most common so you see less faults. In case you didn't know its the same engine evocarlos is building exept his is stamped with the Saab engine code.

im in the same situation. im after a new car but i need to sell mine first 🙁
that vectra does look good tho and for the money its a steal.

Yea I think so, where as both versions in the Vec are called the z20net in the saab the engine code is different, I'm sure the same injectors are used.

sorry yeh thats what i ment the net not let.

n yeh thats what i thought with carls engine, its defo something to think about, even if i get the older turbo n then if it is possible to bolt the bigger turbo on then its all good(y)

The mpg seams to be about the same as our se's and if you have any toys they will bolt straight over. What kills me is the 2.8 v6 it's in the vxr are getting the same mpg also 🙁 . If you want a shock take a look on auto trader for 2.8t elite signum's, there going for peanuts. 230 and 250 stock but 280 with just a map.
