Oil leak

Ok so I've fixed the original leak by re sealing the cam cover but I've now noticed another one :mad: And this time its from the oil filler side and the top of the wiring is covered in oil as well as all underneath the cover.

So any ideas would be great before I sell the bloody thing

cracked oil filter cap ?, cam cover seal ?

Thanks mate. I don't think its the seal as that's what I've just redone. The cap does move up and down now which I can't remember if it did before

Edit.....just noticed you put filter cap and I'm on about the filler cap lol. I don't think its the filter one has it never leaked from there before

that's got a pressure leak from some where? maybe oil filter cap/o ring or power steering pump to head? even cam shaft bearing cap to head at power steering pump? hard to say with out seeing the car?

It just seems strange that its only started from that area since I re sealed the cam cover. I did drop the filler cap and it is now loose

clean the the cam cover and surrounding areas with carb cleaner then start her up and observe 🙂

Well a little update

I cleaned all the oil off and ran the engine but no signs of a leak :mad: Until I noticed the filter that's on the end of the cam breather pipe was coming off but wasn't leaking oil.

Could it just be the pressure while the engine is revving up push the oil out from there?
