soak in wd40 for a good hour or so, i drenched mine and undo when engine cold
try to use a spanner rather than socket, sometimes the studs come out of the head rather than the bolts and I would replace both stud and bolt to minimize them snapping off
They tend to snap off closest to the chain but recently found one that snapped off nxt to the egr port
