Test Drive

Went to see this yesterday and had it out for a test drive http://www.evanshalshaw.com/vehiclesearch/used/vauxhall-used-car-sk06uaj.html Fell in love with noise of the v6! It's intoxicating 🙂 Couldn't sleep last night as I kept thinking about it lol

For the year and mileage its about £1500 under book price. I did mention after the test drive that the tail pipes seemed smoked up to much. So thought maybe oil burning?? Not sure. Told him I'm in the market for Vectra VXR pre 23/03/06 (Cheaper tax band) as only £174 for 12 months tax, Vxr's after that date shoot up to a whooping £450 a year tax :eek: So he going to call me when/if they get one in blue or my preferred colour black.

I do really like the Vectra VXR. Just don't get one near 100,000 miles, as the cam chain is supposed to cost almost £1k to replace!

If it came to the stage I'm 100% going for one, I be popping over to VXR forums to find out what I need to look out for. As with any car always going to be issues to avoid

Plenty of info on VXROnline. Only problem with that site, is most people only post their problems, and I spent many an hour reading about the issues with the Astra, and only actually had one of them (gearbox) but was always worried that something will break. I've not joined any Audi forums, purely so I don't spend all my time worrying something will go wrong with the A3
