Couple of unknown wires and obd problem

Hi all firstly I'm slightly confused on the lamda sensor wire that plugs to the engine bay loom the is a blue wires that has been wired in that goes through the bulkhead but I can't trace it in the car I'll take a picture tomoz if it helps..
Secondly my obd socket doesn't work I tried plugging in my dads code reader and nothing but I pulled this red wire from underneath which I'm guessing is something to do with it.. Any ideas?

Can't you trace the red wire and see what's at the other end

Yeah the red wire is possibly the live for the obd socket as it is from there but I have no idea where it's meant to go.

That's a lot of spare wire! Has the OBD plug been removed? That wire looks like it's been put in "after" if you know what I mean (doesn't look like standard wiring)

Yeah it's loads. Well I'm confused as I found the problem with my steering was it had an inner tie from a van one side and a coupe the other side there dif lengths so with this firstly I don't know if the socket it self is the same in both cars. That red wire is plugged into the obd socket but then it's wrapped up it definatly not original unless it's been separated from the loom which I doubt... being red i presume it the live but I have no idea other than the socket doesn't work at all.
I can't remap it or anything :-(

just get a coupe loom and refit it 🙂

sure its flange(z20let) vs sleeve fit(z22se) it would need the flange cutting off and a sleeve joint welding on or the other way round and weld a flange on to you cat back pipe
some earlly z22se's had flange ?

mine sleeve at the cat end. Just saw how good condition that milltek exhaust was and price rather cheap. Yet another stupid plan backfire. Got to get the exhaust sorted for MOT which is ages away (August) but starting to blow badly at the cat join now, so needs to be done soon

Lol f**k me I could spend a fortune I could spend a fortune on that site I didn't know it existed :-) for starters this well and truly annoys me
Lol anyway I am tempted to collect up an entire 2.2 conversion minus engine and start the van again myself rather than back tracking what's been done before..

i already have lol the vxr brakes came from there hes always got bits coming in he strips alot of coupes and 3 doors but mainlly the turbos

the dash loom is easyer to change than you think getting the dash in and out is harder

I'm so happy I've seen that lol I quite like the idea of having a mk5 steering wheel I'm not sure what's involved yet but check this

I think there quite a lot but a vxr wheel would look rude

Have seen the VXR wheel fitted before to a Mk4. Think they did the whole LEH conversion with the recaro seats and steering wheel.

There's a mk4 red van on ebay now with the z20net engine etc but the pic above is inside I thought it would be interesting to see how easy it is or if he's changed the steering column or anything also airbag horn etc
