Bought a zafira sri 2.2 petrol, with the waterlogged auto ptoblem...
Most of you know the autobox pumps the fluid through the oil cooler, which is in the rad! Basically the seals go and the autobox gets filled with coolant.
The coolant chemicals eats the plates in the autobox, and rusts the insides, not good... The tell tale signs are, speed sensor/auto error codes, rusty transmission dip stick, watery transmission fluid...
This is the first auto I have owned let alone worked on, but with a quote of £1600 to rebuild the box I'm gonna have a bash myself.
Parts should cost £300 and I'm guessing a couple days.
Anyone done this before and have tips?
