No i done both new chains roughly a year ago and at the right time i think cause when i stripped cam cover chain was stretched and worn and the tensioner was not functioning correctly. so if you have not done yours yet i would say you are due chain changes then you will get many thousand more miles out of engine . i aint even a mechanic just need the right tools to do it best thing i ever done with an engine and if you can do it yourself you have saved yourself hundreds of pounds . In the end its a great feeling when you do it yourself
