INSURANCE RENEWAL

so insurance is due for renewal tomorow and someone forgot to ring them to say no thanks to the renewal quote(SHIT)

so iv just renewed with the same insurance who im with untill midnight tonight through gocompare but at about £100 less than my renewal quote what came through the post.

BUT because i havnt rang them to say no thanks to the renewal it should automatically renew at 12.01 but i dont want it to and theres nothing i can do as there shut.

any advice? has anyone else done this in the past?

sorted insurance, it didnt run out untill 11.59 tonight and my new i surance that i panicked n setup late last night starts a 12.01 sorted £450 fully comp after the interest of having to pay mo thly

not to bad for a 2.2 at 27.

Glad you got it sorted bud, I've noticed the insurance on mine was cheap too, I'm 28 and pay 440 or some where round that figure, makes a change, I've had some sky high quotes in the past

mine was good a few years ago i was 24 had the vectra about 9 month which cost £750 to insure at the time, i then turned 25 and got another years no claims and it went to £1100 so i rang them and said are you having a laugh, im 25 so it goes down, iv got another years NCB so it goes down how is it £1100. they said there has been alot of claims in my area.

so just said im not interested in that renewal and went with swift cover for £700 and its been steadily going down since, thank god, it cost me enough to put fuel in.

Trouble with the fuel is we're getting arse raped by the goverment with all the tax they put on it, good honest folk that work hard for their cash and then the bastard goverment have ya pants down and relieve ya off ya money lol wish i could drive when petrol was cheap, my veccy is doing 18.5 mpg at the min (heavy foot) lmao

fuckin hell ,
im getting 24.9mpg which i thought was bad. its not bad on a run but i dont go on runs very often, my average speed is embarrassing at 18mph.

Yeah i think my coolant temp sensor has retired 🙁 And from what I can tell wont help the situation, damn cars, I'm not too sure but i think the v6 veccy does better mpg than mine at the minute :rolleyes:

carls supercharged 2.2 does better than both of ours n he was driving with a very heavy right foot lets say and i think it was still in the 30s.

have you been in it? it sounds amazing and goes like fuck, and the build quality is second to none, to say hes built it on his own in a garage at home( i think) is amazing, i cant fault the guy hes piss funny aswell.(y)

are you going to him to have them done? have you got the parts yet? if not talk to matt he will get you everything you need at the right price, carl did mine a few weeks back when i had a bad rattle noise and he was brilliant, exsplaining everyrhing has he went and showing me all the things hes done to his, he doesnt rush through it just for some cash, he enjoys doing it i think,

then it turned out not to be my chains, it was the alternator bearing that had gone, so i bolted a secondhand 28quid alternator on and job done, after spending 350 on the chains, but oh well they wanted doing anyway

its the tentioner aswell, with the kit from matt i think its a modified 1 from a z20net engine(i think) where froma autofactor it probably wouldnt be and its definatly easy to get wrong with what iv read and what i saw when carl did mine.
