Rather than replacing my tyres I'm looking at upgrading mine to 5 stud with pottsey wheels, tyres and bearing. I'll be paying £160 for my tyres fitted so that may go some way towards the parts I need to convert but I wouldn't want to have to fork out for tyres straight away if I convert. It's just an idea for now but trying to price it up and what gains I'll get from it....

well the alloys are up for 150 ,looking on ebay and aon ,it looks like you need front discs,calipers,pads hubs,then also the same on rear plus something to do with handbrake .the conversions go for roughly 90 ish .i'll do it all for 230 .then if you need anything im sure we can work something out in the deal

I've converted my fronts to 280mm (steering hub, caliper carriers, calipers - with seals changed, discs & pads) discs in July and rear to 240mm drums to discs (with handbrake being recently sorted with a new cable - bosch ones unfortunately) last October. I guess I'd be looking at the 5 stud conversion requiring 5 stud bearing, discs and wheels as a minimum. I'll do some research to confirm.
