how well do those alternators fit with the charge cooler manifold?
ive been running one for ages far better than the cutting the bolt off and it fits with just 3 bolts some pics below of it altho the one from the a20nht is 140amp the one i imported was a 5 rib 120amp 🙂
the work continues
a/c pumps left (astra g) middle (vectra c) right (insignia) notice the larger hole is at the front on the insignia and also square cut like the vectra c

i had previously tried to fit the vec c pump and had a set of z20let pipes it was a failed attempt back then but now after turning both pipe 180* in the fitting the let pipes fitted the insignia pump and missed the rad and inlet

and still a bit of room left down there lol

the 1st try with the alternator on the cs bracket the 6 rib belt hit the alternator pulley it was then apparent something else needed to be done

@[deleted] heres the gap on the inlet from the front

after much arse scratching i decided to try again with the a20nht alternator bracket i had to make some modifications the the bracket to get the alternator off the rad pack but the belt run is now how i have always wanted it to be (need a shorter belt in the pic)

another pic of the alternator gap

I had alternator built smaller than my original 170amp 120 on tickover
you can get a 300amp alternator on a z22se 🙂 i fitted one to an "audio car" about 4years ago
