could not be arsed to buy the fiberglass wadding for the silencer so went and cleared the shop out of stainless scouring pads 🙂

is your silencer empty then?
only way you can be sure its done right is to do it your self unless you stand over the person who does it.
its sad to say nobody gives a f in their workmanship these days. 🙁

not quite completely empty but almost
fuel and fiberglass dont mix so time to go stainless wadding 🙂

considering thats not really alot for the size

jam packed with stainless scourers

tried to tig the case back up and kept melting the tip off was just about to smash fuck out of the welded then realised i had not swapped the +/- back over from when i was stick welding DOH!
a couple of back fires will pop the case back round lol

I'm still looking for some where to make me a 3" system that will last over 500miles.
been told of one local, he made the exhausts for red victor 3 and several other street drag cars. 🙂

mines done a few 1000 miles now
i know people like that they do them but dont have the time to make them for you 🙂

found the cv boot split open on the driver's side while i was refitting it last night :S

found a water leak from the booster pump and tighten the clips up fingers crossed on that one
new idler fitted

and the split cv boot looks like a good one there's grease all over the disc bye bye pads....

got other things I need first like a second z22se corsa c with twin charge 😉

the 2.5" lexmaul has been on the corsa from the start and on the z20let engine it had before so done 15k miles at least now, still good. as is the 200cpi sport cat that came from my Vectra which has done over 80k miles if not more.
should have got warranty written down🙁:mad:

been out in the car today the mod to the silencer has made it quieter in the lower rpm band still screams it tits off at wot 🙂

think i may have made some headway with the aem fic to at idle the is very minimal fluctuations in afr 14.4-14.9 so it looks like i got my mot map sorted
i do need to go thru the log files tho theres 20mins of log to look at :S

I wouldn't worry too much about the fluctuations at idle, mine goes from about 14.3-15.3

My old Cobra system was loud as hell after 6 months and I very much doubt I have any cat internals in my current 200cpi cat I got from them a few years ago lol.

cool i was trying to keep it around the 14.7 for the mot and not over 15
with the rich/lean switching of the lambda i think its pretty impossible to get a fixed afr
im happy tho considering the cams i have it idles real smooth now

its still to loud its been too loud since i fitted the 3" never been a fan of the overly loud now im going to do something more about it
found a 16" long 5" round 3" in and out silencer for £40 so getting that to fit between the cat and the middle box..

Yeah you'll never get it to sit perfectly at 14.7 so what you have is good considering the cams as you say (y)

booster pump still leaking after doing the jubilee up more so i guess it can only be the seal
