must of been all the assembly lube i used after the engine warmed it all was good all you can hear now is the vacuum pump and the injectors ticking 🙂

dip stick holding device it works great just need to fit the pop rivets next time the chargers off

bleed the clutch again but by applying vacuum to the brake reservoir then pumping the pedal 30 times seams a little lighter
engines covered 16 mile so far 🙂
ive reset the SVS light for 10 days or 100 miles so i know when to change the oil if i disconnect the battery and lose the trip reading

yeah thats no problem 🙂 but under the agreement that if you drive my car i get to break some of your fingers 🙂 lol 8 in total and with one hand hehe

morris 10/40
the golden film running in oil was too expensive @£44 for 10L
the morris was £18 and me dad had just bought 2 5l tubes for his mitsy so took the 1l extra i needed from his bottle

will got to gm 10/40 after 100miles 🙂

I would just use john deere break in plus 50 II. its amazing how many new tractors need a top up on pdi! :LOL::cautious:
good choice of oil, wasn't morris oils golden film many years ago? remember selling it when I did my apprenticeship and using their oils on historic vehicles.

Important: DO NOT use John Deere Plus-50 oil or engine oils meeting API CG4, API CF4, ACEA E3, ACEA E2, or CCMC D5 performance levels during the first 100 hours of operation ( or additional periods of break-in that may be required) of a new or rebuilt engine. These oils will not allow the engine to break-in properly.

i always say to dad that morris oils are just dirty recycled oils 🙂 i would not normally use morris but for running it its idea as its shit lol 🙂
not sure if morris was golden film originally but when i looked at the specs of the running in oil it was sae 30 thats way to high for the ecotec the oil wouldn't even reach the lifters till it was 100c 🙂

that's plus 50, not break in plus 50 II.
morris oils are one of the biggest oil blenders in the uk making some of the best oils on the market and most of the specialist oils.
cant remember what it was called but they did do a recycled engine oil.
I ran my z22se in on morris mineral oil for 10 miles then running in oil for 500 miles then mineral oil for another 500 miles then 10 miles on 10w40 semi, then 10w40 for 1000 miles which I still run it on. its now done around 50k miles and doesn't use any oil between 5k changes. 🙂

i know morris is one of the bigger supplies 🙂 i did mean i always wind me dad up that its recycled oil i would never use it in my car but moms vectras had it in for the last 4 years and its not been changed yet 🙂
im going to stick with the gm oil on this one for the 1st 500
morris 10/40 for the 1st 100 mile
gm 10/40 for 100-300mile
then gm 10/40 for 300-500
then mobile one 0/40 for 500 and above

looks like im going to need a shorter belt the 5pk 1463 leaves the tensioner on pretty much full extension will have to go and get a 5pk 1440 or 1430 🙂 weeeeeeeeeeeeep!

unable to test atm
it was 12 with the 3.1" so should be around the 16-18 mark

did a little vid today it was before i fixed the blow in the exhaust ive fitted it with a double clamp in hope to keep it shut 🙂
