He might do that in the future, I already asked him. Well, it was just a thought...
well if the price were reduced and the cc added that would be the only time im interested

Peter will probably never reduce the cost of the software, he spent many years developing it and will take even longer than that to make a profit.
Many have asked and the answer has always been no
if he reduced the price there would be a bigger buyers market its just the same as lmf selling gsi bumpers at £400 for the last 10 years they still have lot and lots in stock dead money sitting in the
warehouse
the difference with this is its software no stock but as with windows xp over time the cost goes down 🙂
i can understand his time with making the ecu software and the running software but if he wants to make more money hes got to come down to an affordable level or it will just get ignored 🙂

Yes, many hours have gone in development of OBDTuner. I meant he told me when he has more time he might figure out how to add cruise control.
with a drop in price and the addition of cc you would see alot more people going to the Dutch software 🙂

I don't blame him either. People sometimes don't realise how much effort goes into those sort of things, and can't quite appreciate the price is justified.
i can understand i did programming at collage have some understanding of what required but would not have a clue on how to tie all the code to each part of the system lol

or invest in a serious ecu :p but its allot of money, but you already are putting in allot of money i think , So i dont see why you not gona look if there are different options on a good ecu if they can work on a z22se.
I dont know much about this stuff, just wanna give some info, meaby it helps.
I did know a mechanic that got a Suzuki swift gti turbo that had a adaptronic ecu, and it worked very good on the engine.
And about diy ecu's allot to read on other forums about megasquirt ecu and stuff.

Diy

I dunno there are allot of standalone ecu's i think.
But paying so much for stil the same crappy z22se ecu that is slow and not very accurate and not modern is just bs.
tbf the z22se ecu pritty good at what it does little to plug in and it works obviuslly current mapping has its restrictons like the abilty to tell the ecu it has a larger throttle body and the reason why all charger builds running the lsj T/B will get poor startup for the 1st 10secs on the cs map
but its being worked on and the cs map now supports the 2.5bar map sensor and larger injectors
the extra fetures added by odb tuner are vast and make the z22se ecu somthing you would want to buy in an aftermarket ecu
but saying that for that cost you can buy an aftermarket ecu then faf about with the wiring and getting it all working extra ball ake
for a 3rd of the cost you could buy an lsj ecu and hp tuners and do the same thing the problem with that is theres so much extra to add to the engine to make it all work right
i dont want to talk about odb tunner any more unless its something one day i can afford to add to this build 🙂
its late and im tired and im being nice 🙂
