steve2761 Just stumbled across something that I remember faintly from my x20xev days. In my last x20xev vec (f23/11kg fly weight) it had been discovered that you could use c20ne flywheel, weighing in at 7kg. 6bolt design, just had to use clutch assembly etc from c20. So,how about z22se? Again,6bolt design, weighs in at 9.5kg.f23 box. Saving 2.5kg on flywheel weight.any experience on this matter?have I got it wrong?can pick up a c20ne flywheel for as little as £30.
vocky I thought the c20 engines were eight bolt with an offset bolt, the z22se has six equally spaced bolt holes
steve2761 C20xe are 8bolt but c20ne (8v) are 6bolt.will have a dig around in a mo.that fly is also used in other variants.
steve2761 Here some info. Part no.90280832 Frontera A (92 to 98) C20ne,x20se. Carlton (87 to 93) 18nv,18seh,18sv,E18nvr,s18nv,20se,c20ne. Omega (94 to 03) 20se,x20se. Didnt even know half them codes existed. Worth a look into for light tuning on a budget.
