corsaZ22se I know its not a good old griffin but a friend has asked me to fit a new alternator to his 56 plate tdv6 discovery, looks a total arse of a job has anybody ever done one and knows 'how to'? advise please? thank you.
Daz As you said above....... TOTAL ARSE OF A JOB........ lots to remove, and the alternator is still a bastard to get out....... i try to worm my way out of doin them know...... book time is only 1.2 hrs... fuck the book, take at least 2.5-3hrs...
corsaZ22se land rover quoted him 5 hours! been searching on line and found a how to thread on a land rover owners club. doesn't look to bad 2 or 3 hours. :confused: i'll let you know how long later? :eek:
corsaZ22se well that was hard! :ROFLMAO: remove air inlet pipe remove fan cowl remove fan remove drive belt remove alternator refit in reverse order test. total time including putting boilersuit on and off with a cup of tea, 40 minutes! :ROFLMAO: easy £30! 😃
