MySQL Upgraded

I've upgraded MySQL on the server to the latest version, 5.6

This offers many improvements over the previous 5.5 version. It's only just started up again, so will take a short while for all the caches to re-build.

If you notice anything strange, please let me know on here of via our Facebook page.

Had to restart MySQL again earlier to make a change to some of the default settings that were introduced in 5.6

Going to be making a few more changes over night that will require another restart, but will do it in the early hours of the morning.

Had to roll back to Percona 5.5 as it's not compatible with WHM/Cpanel builds of PHP (n)

Confirmed with my test account. I'll look at that when I get to work

Fixed. That was actually something I changed yesterday while trying to improve the query used to get the number of unread posts.

I've changed it back, as the change I made appears to include posts from Forum nodes which you don't have access to.

Good stuff, I tried changing the join used on 2 tables in the SQL query, but it looks like it didn't work correctly.

Yea all back to norm for me too, it was showing 498 new posts lol

We are now on the same Percona 5.6 version as I upgraded to previously, but on the separate VPS instance.
