Why me

Doing a simple oil change on my vec (done many) and all was going well until I went to put the sump plug back then.......................the bleeding thing wouldn't go back in straight. And no to top it off the first thread on the plug has started to go :mad: So it will never go back in now. I wouldn't mind but it came out straight as well so god only knows what's gone wrong.

Luckily for me an auto spares shop is open today who might have a new plug in stock

a small file works well to clean the threads up 🙂

im sure i have a tap for the sump plug somewhere bit of a treck tho

I'll try that if I have no luck at the auto spares.

I just don't understand why it wouldn't go in straight.

Carl could it be that something is blocking it? I know we couldn't find anything but what are the chances it has dislodged and is now the culprit?

i remember it went in ok when i did the chains think it was tight as to get it out tho
dont think that anything would be in the way more like the thread has something in it

Yeah it went in ok when I changed the oil after 500 miles. I'll get a new one and see how it go's

Cheers mate, I've got one now for £2.99 but I might order that one because the one I've got isn't a magnetic one
