Hi all. My wife's 2004 Astra-G convertible 2.2L 16v (Z22SE) engine has an oil leak. The good news is that we haven't noticed an excessive use of oil, the oil level is ok, there are no oil spots on the garage floor but the block and sump has a nice thin layer of oil.
Just wondered where its all coming from.
I think there is a leak around the sump bolt (this is done up tight so presume seal has gone or a bit dirt/grit behind the head). Otherwise has both the sump and head gasket gone?
Note: I didn't take a pic but there is a lot of oil around the inlet manifold near the oil filter too.
