Matt How good a match to the factory colours are Vauxhalls rattle cans of paint? I need to spray the bottom of my bumper, and the stuff I've had from Halfords isn't matched very well, and quite a bit different.
dodger not sure matt, but i would asume as it is from the OEM it should be a good match, however you car has had been open to the elements so the colour will change slightly.
Matt I don't mind if it is slightly out, because it's the bottom of the front bumper. The last paint I bought from Halfords to paint my eyebrows was totally different, it was several shades darker.
Daz Think vx make differnet shades of the same colour too.had a cavalier years ago and it was carmine red,and they were 10 different shades of it..
Matt Bloody hell! Might take it to a proper paint production company, as there is one in Sheffield who will match the colour, mix it, and put it in a rattle can for you.
Matt Yeah, thats what Halfords did, they matched the paint from the paint code, but they had the code as Opel and not Vauxhall. The colour name is Prestige Blue.
Baz thats like my fron bumper its slightly darker than the rest of the paint but my tailgate and spoiler are spot on no diffrence 😃
l7jnd I would get the dealer paint as I have used halfords gear before and the colour is not as good a match, no way.
evocarlos i got a touch up pen from the local vx dealer to do my stone chips what a waist of time the paint was more like bright sliver and my car is met grey. I had to go to a paint mixing place and they had color chit's that can be matched to the car then i bought 1/2lt of the right color for my spoiler and stone chips perfect match 😃
