Cooling Fan

Hi all, I think I might be missing something obvious, but hopefully someone can help. I have removed the a/c pump, radiator and fan from my z22se Astra Coupe. I have been doing some other work on her but as the a/c doesn't work and she is not my track car I didn't bother refitting it. Only problem is the cooling fan is now on permanently. Any ideas?

I think your problem with the fan constantly on happens when you disconnect the coolant temperature sensor [cts] plug which is at the thermostat housing the plug which connects there

It's because you have unplugged the pressure switch, this is on the a/c rad on the left as you look at it. Plug the sensor back in, problem solved

Cheers. Plugged the sensor back in now. Problem solved. Does the air con fan act as a secondary fan or is it now completely redundant?

on the Vectra b the air con fan or front fan kicks in at high temps after the other fan. probably the same on Astra's.

i have the same problem only i didnt do anything, it just began to stay on and not close, even with a stone cold engine. I have an opel speedster. Any ideas?
