the ribbon cable is glued to the screen and pcb
once theres a broken connection its screwed
with the vec screen you can just put a zip tie round the ribbon and make it work better but not on astra
they're also not cheap to buy had vx replace mine while under warranty and it was £160 back then lol
you would need some kind of very fine hypodermic needle and some heated rear screen paint not sure it would last long tho
