Thanks for getting back to me, yeah it's the 2.2
Under the oil filter is a loomwhere there is two elec connections. One you can see one you cant. Its the one you cant see. Its a ****ing pain in the ass unless you take off bumper fan and sorts. I think it's 2 10mm bolts. Undo the bolts before trying to take connection off. Dont ask me how or where but I lost 8 bolts trying to put it back in. I used a 1/4 drive with extension. Celotaped the bolt to the extension then whenbit was in just twisted til tape snapped. I worked this out after 2 hours. I did it hard way.
Thanks Eddie that is a massive help, that is where i thought it might be but couldn't see it so that explains it haha, i spent a good few hours today trying to find the bloody thing. Will get out to it at some point and fingers crossed that solves my problem.
Cheers again mate
Did you find this prob thru diagnostics. If I remember the thread you had a misfire???
Was through diagnostics, replaced the starter motor thinking it was that but it wasn't, so car won't turnover and diagnostics gave me a code 0019.
Fingers crossed for you m8. I changed mine as precaution after high milage
cheers mate mine is only sitting on 80k which is a lot less than my other cars haha
Any luck today m8
Hi mate. sorry it's taken this long to reply, managed to change it and still no joy, raplced my coil pack also but still not running. fed up with it now
Strange one. Have a look in the plugs and see if its dirty maybe the oil is leaking from the gasket inside. Did you buy second hand coilpack, do you know anyone with same carbtovtry theirs
yeah will just keep trying til I can afford to get it into a garage, the coil pack was second hand yeah, and I don't know anyone round these parts with the same car. Was advised the timing chain may have stretched[/QUOTE]
