Crap. Had 2 (on opposite corners) of the car die on me within 6 months. Ride was harsh.
You get what you pay for. Was just disappointed I was recommended them from someone who sells suspension here.

Good to know think i will stick with the b4 from lmf they seem to have the best deal going

I have a complete set of spax coilovers here from my Vectra B. only had them on the car a year before I broke it for the engine etc for the Corsa project.
cash only £150.

Thanks for your offer but i think i will stick with the b4 bilstein ones. would prefer brand new even though yours are only a year old.the rear ones look a little different from my setup what are the big black housing parts at the top is that because they are lowering springs

that's the top mount. yours will be the same as they are the original top mount brackets.

he's^^ right thats the bracket that holds the shock to the car our 1.6 has them 🙂

Eventually got my B4's today from LMF . Good service from them quick postage . But as usual something goes wrong removing old parts ,i was using a bit of heat to remove the old nut at top of shock absorber and melted the black rubber badly. i need a new one now .Going t5o scan ebay couldnt see them on Euros website . If anyone knows the proper name for them or a link .if need be i will get them from vauxhall. its the last rubber at the top before the disk and washer goes on

My old shocks.

Mine i dont think had been changed since the car was new. so i immediately noticed a difference when new ones fitted, lifted the back right up .Probably should have done them sooner . Its amazing how the old shockers got rusted at the top where the thread and nut is especially when you consider they are hidden in the black housing. This probably added at least an hour to dismantling time and why i got the heat out and ruined the top mount rubber. things like this is why i end up doing everything twice

Those were removed 18 months ago, so the car would have only been 5 years old at the time, and they already looked like that!

changed the springs and shocks on my corsa d when it was just 3 years old and 14k miles they were totally shafted!
build quality isn't very good at all these days.🙁

So i got my new rubbers part number in picture in case anyone else ever needs them fiver each from vauxhall. Probably for the best as the others were a little worn before they got melted
On another note the pic of my shocks where they bolt on at the bottom the tube seems kinda long and i thought one side would sit close to the hub like the old ones do is it okay ? the bolt is tight as it will go and a mechanic also said ok as long as bolts tight .Do others have their shocks looking like this mine is vectra

so long as the bolt has clamped the shocker lower bush then its fine. some shocks have a larger lower bush and are a larger diameter.
