2.2 vectra sri engine woes

I`m not sure if its down to one problem or several.

So I`m asking the collective for some guidance please!

When I start the car from cold, it starts no problem, but when you press the accelerator it splutters then revs as normal although not as freely as expected. Then driving down the road it shakes as if it has a miss fire or coil pack not working however theyre fine
NO real performance to speak of in general, sporadic epic fuel consumption.

Oh and once in a while it gust dies for about 2 seconds and then jumps into life and will be fine for days

What year is your Vectra? As it could be the Z22SE or the Z22YH

I forgot to add no fault codes, Im using a VCDS which has a OBDII reader which will pull of the fault codes on the vecy I plan to get a Vauxcom type of thing but thats a different topic all together

Condition of spark plugs? Checked for oil in throttle body? Dodgy EGR valve (just seen you have a 2003 - z22se, so you can blank that off)?

Will the throttle body reset with just the ignition turned on without starting or is there some procedure to follow??
Oddly enough Ive just binned the EGR on my other car and was looking to do the same to the vectra.
are the kits In stock from here?

Check the throttle body by taking the plastic pipe from the airbox to the TB off and having a look inside. They are prone to filling with oil.

I've just made up another 15 EGR cheaters this morning, and have a load of blanking plates in stock as well.
