Insurance Renewed

Got my renewal through from Direct Line yesterday.

I paid £480 last year, and my renewal came through at £510!

Did a new quote with them online last night, and the exact same details came through at £341.32!

Gave them a call this morning, and they have matched the online quote, so I've saved quite a bit again this year (y)

Happy days! This year I am going to do some shopping about as the last couple of years I have pretty much auto renewed with Flux and I am sure I am paying too much.

That's why I moved away from the specialist brokers, as they were wanting pretty much £1k for the insurance last year, and Direct Line was 50% cheaper.

Problem is I need a specialist broker due to mods.

Who are you with then @[deleted] ? Must be a broker of some kind with the mods you've got on there.

yeah I told em straight away im paying £540 fully comp with all my other modifications declared with sky insurance ,flux were £100 dearer

what did you pay as a N/A 2.2 ?
mines at £320 fully comp dont want to pay more than £360 its hardly a big power mod

I think I used to pay about 240 when it was complety bog standard on tpft ,but as ive always declared all mods its always changed. before I had the charger I think it was about 420 with everything else

im with sky insurance too 2.2 sri bog standard 25 yr old 2 kids i pay 66.82 a month mine is due for renewall in next month or so so think i may be walking away

as for direct line geez rip off merchants i gather if you just said yeah renew it they wouldnt have given you anything off
