Air filter heat shield

I saw some pic. on forum but i cant find the tread now , tought i saved the picture . Does somebody know where u can buy this heat shield (box) around the filter ? Or thats self made ?

Yes it is 2.2 petrol , it looked nice to me too , i saw the picture on this forum and cant find it , i was over the phone whan i saw it so i just saved the picture . I should buy/build something similar to mine custom itake so if anybody know whos car is this or the person whos car this is see this topic can tell us where he bought or if he build this alone mby he can give us some mesures .

Will be home made.
A few here in aus have done similar ones for their cars. They make a cardboard template then make it out of metal. Not a hard job to do.
Some people line it with gold heat resistant lining to reduce heat soak and bling factor

Looks like a burt150 jobby. Not sure if he does stuff anymore.

As @[deleted] said, that's a Vectra B. Those are just made using a cardboard template, and fabricating them out of metal from the template.

Yes, you'd just need to plan it out and have it made.

Im just thinking about the difference it will make torque wise, as i know when I had a filter like that it wasnt as torquey then put the airbox back on, with the derestriction and a pipercross panel filter along with vec pipe its a much better feeling.

That's odd I had no toque drop in mine when I had a open cone even had a RR with and without, just had issues with heat soak after standing in traffic.

I didnt notice any changes , nither heat soaking nither torque drop O.o dont know .

Should take some mesures and try this than . Would be lot easyer to have finished mesures ^^ but well im a lazy bastard
