Alarm woes

Last night my alarm went off twice annoying everyone including me. I've read about another common Vauxhall fault (the Power sounder?) and it sounds like that.

Question I have is until I get it sorted (within a week) can I garage my car with the car unlocked and expect the alarm to keep quiet?

Does the alarm trigger when the battery is low even if the car is unlocked?

Last night I disarmed the alarm and used the keys to manually lock the car and the alarm still went off afterwarsd. Is this because I didn't put the keys in the ignition after disarming the car?

Cam chain and alarm all in a week, gutted 🙁

hi mate to lock the car leave the drivers window open then lock the car via the key and the window will go up and lock the car keep the key turned untill the window goes all the way up it will lock the car but no deadlock it but it stops the alarm going off and locks that car 😃

too diable the alarm you need to press the both interior lights switches on the roof of the car, the status light will flash then you get deadlocks but no alarm mate

its works for me in work as a tornado engine loves setting my alarm off

I think the handbook says that only the interior ultrasonics are swtiched off when you press the two interior lightbuttons, the courtesy light switches will still activate the alarm.

The only way I know of locking it without turning the alarm on would be to lock the drivers door with the internal button before you get out of the car, then get over to the passengers side, unlock this door with the door button as this one only unlocks that door not all the rest, then get out of the passengers side and lock this door with the key, alll locked with no alarm.

Thanks guys, i'll try these options over the weekend.

It's getting looked at on tuesday as well as the cam chain. When it rains it pours, but hopefully these will be the last of it!

when mine went mental (power sounder) i had to get in from passenger side, push down the drivers door pin to lock all doors, and then get out n shut the passenger door......worked a treat, but the £130 to get the sounder fitted was not, just before i went away for my bday 🙁

I still alarm my car during the day and it never makes a sound. Its only on misty nights it goes off and its pretty much garrenteed. Is this a powersounder problem or have i just bought the worst built car in history?
