Stearing wheel airbag cover

I bought one of those becouse the horn button got dmged , its a comon problem on astra g coupe as i see . Anybody know any guide how to replace te cover ?

it sure is a common problem for the astra
and its not the cover you need to replace but more like the hole steering wheel airbag
its 2 torx screws and an airbag plug
best to disconnect the battery and leave it off for 10 mins before unplugging and replugging the air bag
screws are here one on the other side to

airbag plug has a tab you need to remove 1st before it will unplug

So w8 i cant just replace the midle heart cover and fir it onto mine airbag ? Airbag is one with the cover cant be removed and reatached ? You can just replace the cover.
As above you need to remove airbag off steering wheel. Then unclip the old cover and put new one on. Rivets are fun on it. Be careful not to damage airbag or unfold it.

the airbag is literally a bomb and prolly best to just change to whole thing out of ease 🙂
or dont keep pressing the horn button like a 6 year old kid at the arcade 🙂

That is the easy option. I've changed one cover and that took me around 2 hours. Compared to 11 minutes to just swap an airbag over (I wait 10 minutes after disconnecting battery)

Hahahah i dont pres it much 😃 it got dmged cuz of the sun i gess 😃 . Well the whole airbag thing it cost over 70e in mine country as i remember :/ . I got the cover for 10e ^^ .

I menaged to change the airbag cover , its not hard at all . But i didnt put back those two pins in cuz i needed drill tham . Your pictures helped alot m8 . But now mine airbag light is on i gess i need reset the errors on ecu ?

Sorry this may old but something need to point out
I changed more than 10 pcs in my country (Thailand )without any problem like evocarlos mentioned, you need to disconnect battery for at least 10 mins to let ECU memories gone.
2 Rivets on top will need to drill out carefully and don't leave any metal scratch inside.
one important I need to remind is " do not touch, turn or remove any part of swirl plate in side ( yellow case) Also if you buy blank cover from this web site you need to remove center logo from your original cover by melting and reheat again .But if you logo is Opel then many of Cover come with Opel logo with extra cost I couldn't remember it 's about 3-4 USD more.
in additional before you fit in you will need to place in and take look you may need to have a small trimming to get better clearance as they are not 100 % match some how.

You don't have to disconnect battery. Just take keys out of ignition.
