High pressure fuel pump

Hi there.No doubt you guys have answered this question many times before, but I'll ask it anyway. My high pressure fuel pump has gone on my 2.2 Zafira 2007. Does anybody know if this is easy to change. I have a new one sitting here, but wanted to know if it was a DIY fit, or does it need specialist tools and equipment. Thanks

it fits in the end of the inlet cam
3 bolts and fuel lines by the looks of it wear safety glasses just in case theres spraying fuel
you can remove the black cap to de pressurize the fuel line (its a tire valve)

Thank you Evocarlos. I'l give it a go. It looks like I might have to go out and get a set of Torx sockets first though.
Hopefully I can have it done this afternoon. Fingers crossed.

you can use normal sockets just be sure the all the way on when you come to undo it 🙂

Thanks. I checked my tool box, and I have a set of torx sockets. It took about 20 minutes to do, and now it's BRILLIANT!!
She runs as smooth as the day I got her. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you again.

hi Lizardadi, what were the symptons of your hpfp being faulty as i have a vectra and think my hpfp is going.so knowing the symtoms of your car would be handy cheers
