They are not so bad to do and it would take me about five hours to do the work.
Remove engine tray and offside rear wheelarch liner for access, you might have to grind off the bolt heads, use a wet cloth to keep the bolts cool whilst grinding them off - so grind / cool / grind / cool - blah, blah o_O
Then it is similar to a vectra but you need to use a screwdriver to lock the sprockets whilst you undo them from inside the arch - I use a 1/2" knuckle joint and a 24" extension bar so you can lever outside the wheelarch. The next hurdle is the water pump bolt, after removing the side engine mount bracket (three 15mm bolts and the nut on top of the side mount), remove tensioner and crank pulley, then once the 10mm bolts have been removed for the oil pump the last 13mm bolt can be undone, the trick to get this bolt out is to lever the engine towards the front of the car, I use a crowbar and a block of wood between the steel rear subframe and the alloy engine block - below the chain tensioner. Whilst levering the engine (or possibly use a scissor jack) you can pull the oil pump and the long 13mm bolt away form the engine.
When you refit the oil pump cut 5mm off the long 13mm bolt and you can just refit it without levering the engine, also worth filing the hole slightly in the oil pump so the long 13mm bolt can go in at an angle.
Other than that it's straight forward
