another cam chain changed :)

so had chris @[deleted] round for a cam chain and balance chain change i think i melted its been that hot lol
all in all another satisfied customer
it's also fixed his lumpy idle issue 🙂

i did have a bit of a sweat on lol

after fitting the cam chain locking tool it appears the timing may have been out 1 or 2 links
the sump was also removed as the front chain guide had a bit missing

I only took a couple but when I get the old chain out of the car tomorrow ill take a picture of the broken guide and put it up on here 🙂

great work as all ways! going to start getting the parts together for when I rework the corsa's engine.
only done 40k but chains will get replaced while its all out.

No photo of the broken bit/bits as we couldn't find any. However we did find this little bit of metal but we haven't a clue what is off

my 1st thoughts were dowel plug
its not from the sump and looking at the reference images for the head and block theres no parts that small it was only 5mm round

Just wondered aout how easy it was with the limited access. I am at 44.5k so hopefully its not something I need to think about for a bit!

are they tapered with 3 grooves on the inside of them ,if so they would be off the spring bit on top of the valve stems

na there not the collets it looked like the ring from inside the oil jet but it was small and thin like a tube
