Rwd gearbox for the z22se

Is there a car which runs a rwd gearbox for the alloy engine of the z22se or the z20net?

Not to my knowledge. Maybe have to get an adapter plate made up and use a ford box. Then mix and match clutch parts to suit

didn't the omega have a 2.2 lump or was that the x22xe? or the diesel 2.2 in omegas?

yea hthe 2.2 in the omegas was the x22xe, sure they didnt put the 2.2 dti in the omega, only the 2.5 bmw 6 cyl lump.

I stand corrected they fitted the 2.0 and 2.2 diesels aswell. but still wont get around bellhousing imcompatabilty

maybe try other cars under the gm banner, saab's or chevy's?
