From previous post, engine will not start, I have managed to start it after replacing the 30A ignition and fuel relay fuse but the damn thing still will not run. Only starts when full open throttle and runs at very low RPM with foot flat to the floor and the engine sounding weird. Lots of rich smoke from the exhaust.
I am tiring of this. I have put my original crankshaft sensor, temp sensor, coil pack and ignition module on this changeover engine just to be sure all the sensors are compatible. Original front computer module, loom, throttle body are all fitted. All earths are back in place
I disconnected the front oxygen sensor and it did not really change the situation, I think it didn't start at all then. What on earth is the problem with this demonic car? It will probably turn out to be something simple.
I am started to wonder if someone has stuffed up the camshaft timing but it sounds normal when turning over, something you'd expect to notice if the timing was out. This thing sounds like the ignition timing is waaay out or something. Who would have thought a straight engine swap cause this drama?
Anyone with wisdom for this dilemma will be forever cherished.
