I think it was about 1 ½ year ago... 1 sparkplug (3th cylinder) dropped electrode to combustion chamber and caused, of course eml light and the car was like a tractor...
After this i have been wrestling with a mysterious problem. Car won't rev over 6000 rpm, and if I rev more it starts flashing diagnostics light on the dash and gives me multiple misfires code. It feels like the fuel is out, its like bumbling... like a soft rev limitter 🙂
yesterday i took my downpipe off and cutted the catalysator of and saw that it was melted... So i maked decat and drove it today and the problem is still the same.... I measured lamdas and they was fine.
Also i recognised that when i look at the op com measures, the lamda values was totally fine but second lamda tells all the time that it's rich. No matter if i rev it or let it idle, it stays rich. Front lamda works fine. Could the second lamda be broken still the measures were allright ?
I tried removing cts plug and drive it, same problem...
sparkplugs have been changed about 2 months ago
I tried a coilpack from my m8 vectra, didnt change anything
What the fuel pressure should be on this engine ?
I have to try cleaning the throttle body..
car is opel vectra b 2.2 2001.
full stainless steel exhaust with 2 silencers made by me
Home made 4-1 exhaust header made by me
airfilter box de-restirected
egr blanking plate
We have inspected all cylinders with optic camera and they were all fine.
have anybody got problems like this ? Could this be caused by jumped chain ? i don't think so.. the engine is not noisy, no ratle or clicking... in summer holidays i will replace pistonrings and both chains..
Thanks to everybody!
