5M1THY nothing to do with the van but I got the snow plough motd today it's sat up the farm for 3 years with no engine so i put an engine in which I partially rebuilt washed it dug the wheels and tyres I stored 3 years ago still on pristine condition and it passed with no advisorys lol

5M1THY Would I be stupid fitting a 2.8 pulley on standard internals? I'm planning on having a 6k limiter put on but will it last long with a 2.8 pulley it won't be my daily anymore so I won't be doing silly miles with it

evocarlos lol why is it when i say ""right"" everyone goes left lol no you will not be happy with a 2.8" pulley on standard internals a 3.1" is too much for engine reliability you have to keep it lower than 270hp think back to mine with a standard engine and a 3.1" pulley it did 273hp 6750rpm and 267hp at 6000rpm with a 2.8" your boost would be 12-15psi and not 8psi more is not necessarily more if you get my drift 🙂

Dave_Gilbert Cant you just get it limited to 6000 or 5750, that should spare the engine, how often will you hit the limiter even at 5750? On the road anyway.
chill 250+ hp is possible on the standard 3.35 pulley On standard engine a bit of porting and balancer delete will also help it achieve higher I wouldent ho much higher than 260 on standard rods
