Daz My screen has started to go black for a few secs every now and then, Anybody have ne ideas as to why.. Tried restarting the pc and turning of the monitor on back on but still does it..
Daz Could well be the pc baz,its hasnt done it in the 3yrs ive had it,got slight flickering sometime too..
Baz sometimes if i have the resolutio to high the monitor sometimes goes black as it getting to much strain its currentley running at 1280 x 1024 at 32 bit colour but if i reduce it it doesnt flicker of go black but its only like once every 10 times of the monitor being on
2_2berfurno hmmmm could well be burning out, have you got a screen saver set up??? i would surgest hoovering out the case vents, and checking the moniter lead for kinks
Daz yup screen saver kicks in after 5mins,gonna take the pc and monitor to work 2moz and blow all the dust out wid an airline.. Dont wanna go and get a new monitor if it the graphics card or summat simple like dust..
2_2berfurno my advice would be try a new data cable, prob cost about £5, and could well be the source of your problem
JasGriff Hi dzzer looks like were all missing the obvious test here...... give your monitor a whirl on someone elses pc or borrow someones monitor to try on yours. 🙂
Daz yup..goin to have to get one from pc world(which goes against the grain) might treat myself to a new monitor 2..
Matt Nice one, I've managed to blag a cheap PC to use as a web/file server. It a bit old, and WindowsXP is on it's way out, so going to stick linux on it and turn it into a proper server over the next couple of days.
