Mine done that too but isn't held on by a screw.... drove about for 4-5 months without the spring in it because I couldn't be bothered fixing it and was fed up with it jumping off!!
Finally mixed up a bit of araldite in work and put it back on - only put it lightly on the spindles though, make sure you don't get any on the spring or finding reverse could be tricky lol 😉
