Matt Anyone have a motor bike insured, and if so, who with? I've been offered a 57 plate scooter for silly cheap, and it would save me quite a bit of money on the commute to work. Still need to take my CBT, but wanted to get an idea for insurance prices
JohnnyN I used to pay £211 fully comp on my Gilera Runner SP 50cc. I rode it on my car licence as I am of an age where I never had to do a CBT back in the day! :p
ben8719 If the top speed is between 25 and 45 km/h I thinks its covered on a standard car licence under catagory AM.

ben8719 Ive had mine since 2009, wheb I moved a couple of months back I sent it off for change of adress and it came back with the new coding on it which changed in janaury and AM was at the top included in my availavle catagories. Might be worth a call to dvla as it could save a bob or two on a cbt if itd right.
Matt Don't have any of that on mine (renewed 2010) https://www.gov.uk/rules-motorcyclists-83-to-88/motorcycle-licence-requirements
ben8719 AM is one of the new catagories that came in this year on 17th jan I think it was. This link shows catagories if you have a full car licence. https://www.gov.uk/driving-licence-categories
Sjdickso That's a bargin price Matt, does it need much work? I thought you could also just drive a 50cc no need for CBT but I am sure you will check it out.

Sjdickso Yes with a 125 you will need CBT, you tempted Matt, I did one or two up with my Dad before I could drive.
