Electric Window not Working

My passenger side window stopped working a while back it was a slow mover for a while when sometimes you had to press up and down a couple of times to get it completely down as it was a bit sticky. then eventually stopped operating.
So i got another from scrapyard which also was the same problem would not operate it did move slightly down but then stopped dead when i plugged it in before fitting to test it. there is power going to that side as it was tested with light bulb on a wire .
You also hear the clicking when pressing up but when you press down there is nothing no clicking also checked the fuses they look fine so i was looking for suggestions of what could be wrong i dont know if there is a relay for the windows thats why i am looking for advice
i also changed this around from replacement to original regulator with no joy still same thing clicks for up movement but nothing when pressing down what are the chances of a replacement regulator having the same problem.It is likely i know but hoping there is another reason
so hoping someone can solve this problem for me

I would imagine the clicks are the regulator assembly registering too much resistance and stopping the window from going up in the runners.

If you have the door car off then check at the back by the locking assembly to make sure the extension runner is in place and in the right position. Then take some silicon based spray GT85 etc (Pledge if you are stuck) and spray it in the window runners making sure you get plenty in there.

While that's drying get some grease on the actual window assembly where the slider runs on the metal.

If anyones interested i got this fixed it turns out that the window switch was faulty .So i got one for a fiver at the scrappy.Down from his original asking price of 15 quid because they "cost 30 quid brand new from Vauxhall" the same guy who was gonna sell a corsa timing chain cover to me for 15 quid . asking the same price for a small piece of plastic as a big piece of metal (some people have no shame)
Dont know why my dumb ass never thought of this a lot sooner like 6 months ago , and 25 quid ago before i got another regulator. a mechanic suggested it to me .

How do I reset the windows after taking batter out

you press buttin to put windows down while holding the button down while its at the bottom then reverse it hold button up while windows go up and keep button pressed up when window stops this should sort it out

@[deleted] how did you get the regulator out

I'm sure its held on with a couple of pop rivets you need to drill the heads off them . i think its 4 heads .Then you need to just move the rails slightly cant remember which one just fiddle around a little once its loosened then you move the glass up and down a bit the glass should lift out from the outside of the door has to come out at an angle you need to tilt the glass it will come out fairly easily . I think it will help if you pull out the rubbers that go right down the sides into the door . Just be careful with the glass keep a good grip on it so it does not fall down when lifting out and when you have the regulator rails moving . So the side of the glass closest to the door mirror would tilt down the way then it should come out . i think its this side rail has to be loose then the glass will come out before you remove the rest of the regulator . its been a few months since i done one but thats generally how its done
