What's needed?

Can anyone recommend a company for a remap with a noticeable gain?

Hi, a remap is a waste of time unless you have done some other mods, 170 is possible but will cost you a bit.

Basic Breathing mods, intake / airbox mod /panel filter / ported TB.
Exhaust, 4-1 manifold / 200 CPI cat / Cat back system
Stage 1 cams
Remap

You may see 170 ish depending on the engine, the only one I would personally go to for a map on these cars is Courtenay Sport.

I managed 158 just by improving airflow in (inlet) and out (exhaust & manifold) of the engine NO remap NO engine mods. But as above its costly!

My old Vec was 178. All it had was a 200cell cat and 2.5in down pipe. Remus centre and magnex bk box. 2.4 inlet and ported tb

It was a very healthy and well maintained engine 🙂

mine 170bhp now, shrick cams and springs, dbilas exhaust manifold, matched exhaust ports, 200cpi sports cat, full exhaust system, viper cone filter, Courtenay sport custom remap. total cost of parts around £3k with mapping.
worth every penny! (y)
still good fuel economy when it was in the Vectra b, averaged 32mpg (car weighed in at 1.7tons!)

Where do I get a 2.4 inlet from?
And a ported throttle body?
Or how much do I need the tb machined out by

2.5" exhaust
Full decat
Fully forged internals
Balance gone
Double springs

Showed 183 at 5k but tipped 201 at 6700 weird dot.com got all the bits for sc but no time!
