is my astra going to be stupidly loud if I decat it?

I only want a nice subtle tone not something horrendously loud...
Anyone decatted theirs??
I also have a stainless cat back system will a middle box..and its nice and quiet.

Yes and no....

I have a cat back Piper system, decat pipe and pre cat removed.

It's loud when you floor it, also pops :-) but when cruising down the motorway at 70-80, its not that loud.

Different exhaust makes/setups may sound different though.

dont think it would make much difference i mean the cat is not a silencer

You will also need to cheat the 2nd O2 sensor otherwise it will bring up the EML.

You are going to need one of these to move the sensor further out of the exhaust gas flow : http://fave.co/18KqR7w

Exactly as I have. Only run for 20 miles no light yet.

But according to Opcom the readings are different for each sensor...

I've got the angled one, I'll go and get a quick vid of mine and the noise from my decat and exhaust combo.
