cruise control on a 2.2 auto ? is this true?

hi all,

been looking around t otry and get cruise control on my vectra cd 2.2 auto, x. reg

i've been told, the only thing i need to buy is the stalk for the cruise control, and then goto vauxhall for tech 2 session to enable cruise control.

can anyone confirm this?

i thought i would need a cruise control motor for under the bonnet, but, i reed on the internet i dont need one because i have not got a ''cable'' accelator.

U shud have all the wiring in place,u will prob jusy have to buy a cruise control indicator switch and a clutch switch if ures aint got one..
Mine worked straight off and didnt need tech 2..
Dont think there will be any diff for an auto..

cheers mate,

obviously mine is auto. so it won't have the clutch switch at my feet, it might be on the auto box somewhere.

I do have the wiring for the stalk, I noticed that when replacing a few dashboard lights.

hopefully as you say, I won't need tech 2.

bought the stalk today from Vauxhall at Linwood, £35.51 + VAT
I was cheaper buying from the dealer than Ebay ! ( £39.99 + postage )

plugged it in, and away i went. Worked no problems, didn't need anything, just the stalk.

Nice one m8,,,mines playing up at the moment ,keeps putting the eml light on and then the cruise wont work,got a prob with the brake light switch/wiring or ecu..
