licence plate light bulp

***I bought this bulp http://www.ebay.com/itm/140902784364?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 wanted to put it in the back bumper slot for licence light ***, but it doesnt work . The normal 12v bulp works . Why this one doesnt ?

**Hm , actualy i didnt tryed it in some other slot like brake light-s or something like that :/ will try it tomorow . Didnt contact the seller 😃 i alredy confirmed i recived it and gived feedback without testing it hahaha my bad 😃 . But its just 1-2 e so i dont care rly . I w8 for 2 more to come from other seller . So the bulp if it is good it should work ?

Try turning it around, you have to get the polarity right when using LEDs as they only work one way

I have one.....

Turning the bulb round won't work as the pins are offset.

You need to remove the actual bulb holder and physically swap the wires round. 2 minute job.

Edit... Not sure if the pins are offset actually, however mine would only work once the wires to the holder were swapped round.

**Hm i will try that in last case scenario . . . What about puting same bulp in reverse lights or signal lights , brake lights ? Will thay work cuz i didnt try it there nither .

I would actually just try it in the number plate holder. I have not checked them in brake lights etc... Might need to reverse wire them too :confused:

+1 for swapping polarity. Had to do it to all my astras when using led bulbs.

Is there anywhere on net (ebay) or somewhere posible to order a led bulb with swaped polarity or something like that will work without doing anything ?

you have to take the lens out to change the bulb its only 2 wires that need swapping for led use 🙂

Well , i actualy wana go all led , in all rear lights indicators , so i gess i will do alot wire swaping ^^

The tail lights are usually fine and don't need wires swapped. Just be aware indicators will flash faster due to less resistance.

i was looking at a way to trick the lamp warning ecu so i could fit rear led bulbs can only do the reverse without error

Canbus safe ones will work. They have a resistor in them to make the ecu think it's drawing the right current.
Or you could just add a resistor yourself ;-)

***Ok just to update , the bulp was not working into the bumper for the licence plate light , but it worked in rare lights so i ordered like 10 bulps in total to place them all around so ( reverse lights , signal lights left-right bouth front and back , brake lights , and i gess fog ones o_O i dont actualy know how i counted 10 and i dont know is there 2 of the fog lights o_O pf , whatewer . I tryed the bulp in the signal light and reverse (i dont remember do i tryed the brake one ) . And i didnt see any errors that u meneton now o_O i hope i will not have any . ***

does your car not ask for brake lamp check when your turn the ignition on ? mine has most of the bulbs monitored to see if there failed normally led bulb because their lower wattage than a filament type

its side light bulbs for the coupe i just changed mine like 3 weeks ago 🙂
only way to see if theres errors is fit the bulbs 🙂
